This year I will be demonstrating my skill in traditional intaglio printmaking at the annual Arts and Craft Festival at Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square.
Each year the festival seeks to celebrate beauty in craft as well as bring to life the socio-political context that underpinned the Arts & Crafts Movement in the late nineteenth century. The core aims of the Festival is to highlight exquisite craftsmanship in a wide range of creative disciplines, understand the symbiotic relationship with the Catholic revival in the Church of England and provide an urgent voice that speaks to the contemporary and relevant social context of the original Movement.
I will be there on Saturday the 22nd Septmebr, 10-5pm. Come along and see how I create my plates and print them! Alongside myself will be other skilled craftsmen / craftswomen demonstrating their passion for their disciplines.
